Week 4, Term 2

Room 1

Welcome to week 4. Here is our new Room 1 class.  This week Priscila and Lester started School. 

We have been having lots of fun at 'Get Set Go' each Wednesday morning this term.  This week we learnt how to throw and catch a ball.  It was pretty tricky!

Week 3, Term 2

Room 1

Welcome to week 3. Here is our new Room 1 class.  This week Jesse, Makalita, Koula and Aeshvin started School. 

Last term there was a naming ceremony and we became the Kowhai cluster.  Since some of us we weren't here for that Miss Rushbrook explained what it was all about.  We made our own Kowhai art to 'make our mark' in the School.

Week 2, Term 2

Room 1

Welcome to week 2. Here is our new Room 1 class.  This week Benson started School. 

For our inquiry we have made a class citizen.  Her name is Nembery.  We have written about all of the things she does that makes her a good citizen in the classroom.  As we learn more about being a good citizen in the community we will add more information to Nembery.

Week 1, Term 2

Room 1

Welcome back to a new term.  We have new children joining our class everyday, watch us grow!

In Room 1 we have been busy bees.  Here's a taste of what we have been doing this week.

 

 

             



We need to know all of our letters to help us read and write.  We have been practising them a lot this week, in lots of different ways.  We even painted the ones we knew.

In Maths we have been learning how to make sets of numbers and count them correctly.

 

 

 

For inquiry we have been learning about what makes a person good or bad, and trying to understand what it means to be a good citizen.  Its pretty tricky, citizen is a big word!  Here are some examples of what we think makes a good person.
